Many former champions of the "white sport" (nickname for tennis in Romanian), along with Nadia Comăneci and Gică Hagi will participate in a promotional tennis game in the main pedestrian area in town. The attendants list shows names like Ilie Nastase, Yannick Noah, Mansour Bahrami, Younes El Aynaoui and Andrei Pavel.
On Thursday, people from Timisoara will have the pleasure to receive many tennis stars in the town over Bega river. All great champions are gathering this time of year for a tennis tournament which takes place in Bucarest.
Although this tournament is set in the capital, five great champions, Ilie Nastase, Yannick Noah, Mansour Bahrami, Younes El Aynaoui and Andrei Pavel, agreed to participate in an event to promote tennis among children in Timisoara.
Along with these famous tennis figures, two Romanian sports legends will attend this event: Nadia Comaneci and Gica Hagi. According to organizers, another very important public figure will come as a surprise guest.
This event is to take place on Opera Square, in Timisoara, Thursday 22 september from 10:00 am.
